Question: Are there any minimum or maximum height requirements for riding a Ninebot Elite?
Answer: The manufactures recommended minimum rider height is 4’ 6”, and a maximum rider height of 6’ 9”.
Question: Can I adjust the height of the handlebar?
Answer: Yes & No. The bar itself isn’t adjustable. We do offer optional operation bars for the manufactures recommended rider heights. Our ‘standard’ operation bar ships with the Ninebot Elite, and it comfortably accommodates riders that range in height from 5' 2" to 6' 1".
We have an optional ‘short’ operation bar for rider heights from 4' 6" to 5' 1", and an optional ‘long’ operation bar for rider heights from 6' 2" to 6' 9".
Question: What is the max speed of the Ninebot Elite?
Answer: It can travel at speeds up to approx. 12.5 Mph (dependent on riders’ weight)
Question: How far can I travel on a Ninebot Elite?
Answer: On a fully charged battery (dependent on rider’s weight) travel can range between 14 to 18.5 miles.
Question: How long does it take to charge the battery?
Answer: 2.5 to 3 hours
Question: Is it legal to ride a Ninebot in my state?
Answer: You can check this website www.ghsa.org/html/stateinfo/laws/segway_laws.html for a list permitted states 2015 list: Allow Segways: 45 + D.C. No Law/Not Allowed: 5 (Arkansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, North Dakota, & Wyoming)

Question: Do I need to wear any protective gear when riding my Ninebot?
Answer: Yes. The manufacturer strongly recommends that riders wear. An approved safety helmet, knee pads, palm pads, and elbow pads.
Question: Do I need training before I ride the Ninebot?
Answer: Yes. Prior to riding you should watch the videos on our website
After watching the videos please refer to your Product Manual which includes basic riding instructions and operation. Please read the Product Manual carefully before operating your Ninebot.
Pregnant women, patients with heart diseases, handicapped or personnel with limited capacity should not drive or ride the Ninebot. It is forbidden for two people or more to drive/ride on a Ninebot. Children under the age of 14 should not drive/ride the Ninebot without the direct supervision of a parent or guardian.
Question: What is the core technology of the Ninebot?
Answer: The core technologies are: dynamic balancing technology, natural attitude control technology, high-availability redundant electronic control system technology
Question: How do you charge the Ninebot?
Answer: First connect the included ‘charger’ to your Ninebot, and then plug the charger into a wall receptacle. The lights on the base will begin to blink on and off. As the Ninebot reaches various charging levels, lights will stay lit and no longer blink. When all lights remain lit the Ninebot is fully charged.
NOTE: Charge the Ninebot every two months if not used (i.e. during the Winter months).
Question: How does Ninebot Inc. provide Warranty service?
Answer: Hoodriderz is an authorized US Ninebot retailer and provides warranty service in the USA with service technicians, and stocks ninebot parts for speedy repairs and turnaround. Only authorized Ninebot US retailers can provide a US warranty. You will be required to ship you Ninebot to China for warranty service or repairs if you didn't purchase from an authorized US retailer.
Question: Is assembly required?
Answer: Yes. You’ll need to attach the operation bar to the base unit, and the handlebar to the operation bar. Tools and hardware are included. Assembly can be completely in less than 10 minutes.
Question: How high off the ground is the base unit?
Answer: Approximately 7 inches
Question: Can I ride the Ninebot up or down stairs?
Answer: No. It is not safe to ride the Ninebot on stairs.
Question: What are the primary construction materials of the Ninebot?
Answer: Magnesium alloy, Aluminum alloy, and Lexan resin

Question: Can I fit the Ninebot the trunk of my car?
Answer: The Ninebot can fit in the trunks of most standard sized vehicles. You simply remove the operation bar from the base unit to transport it.
Question: Can I limit the speed of the Ninebot?
Answer: Yes. By using the NineDroid APP you can adjust the ‘Limited Speed Mode’ settings from 12.5mph to 6.2mph.
Question: How many batteries does the Ninebot-E use/have?

Question: What kind of tires does the Ninebot have?
Answer: Custom made tires, 85/50-12 – The custom tires were designed to reduce vibration; as well as providing a safer and stable ride.
Question: How do I turn the Ninebot E or C on/off?
Answer: Using the ninebot multi-function key FOB
Question: What information does the handlebar ‘Dashboard’ display on the Ninebot E?
Answer: Power (battery level), Mileage, Speed, Riding time, Internal temperature, Firmware version, Switch off ‘limit speed’ mode, Remote control mode, Lock mode, Bluetooth connection, Alarms, Fault status & error codes.
Question: Are there any safety features?
Answer: Yes. Every Ninebot has a redundant electronic control system. Should the Ninebot's electronic control components ever fail, the Ninebot will automatically switch to the backup electronic control system. This feature is to ensure that the Ninebot will be able to transport you in the event of a system failure. This does not compensate for low battery power.
Ninebot also comes with a Power Assist Mode. What is power assist mode used for? The transporter will help itself up a flight of steps as opposed to having to drag it.
Question: Is the Ninebot waterproof?
Answer: No. It is water resistant. You cannot submerge the Ninebot; however it can be operated in light rain, and cleaned with lightly sprayed water.
Do not use high-pressure water hose’s of any type.
Question: How does the Ninebot work?
Answer: The Ninebot utilizes a series of integrated computer controlled gyroscopes, attitude sensors, and electronics to help you maintain your balance on an elevated moving platform with wheels.
The Ninebot accelerates and decelerates by responding to a person's posture & center of gravity, and turns with a mere flick of the wrist. Its gyroscopes sense subtle body movements and use them as cues for moving forward, backward, accelerating, stopping and turning.
Question: Is Ninebot RoHS compliant?
Answer: Yes. Ninebot has passed the strict tests of RoHS (a mandatory standard established by the European Union legislation, fully called Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and meets the strictest requirements of environmental protection. The battery pack of the ninebot uses a lithium battery similar to the Tesla electric car and does not contain lead, cadmium or any other toxic heavy metals.
Question: What is the battery life of the Ninebot?
Answer: Over 1,000 cycles (3-5 years)
The Ninebot personal transportation robot uses a third-generation nickel cobalt manganese lithium ionic polymer battery. This particular kind of battery has been extensively used in the Model S pure electric sports car made by Tesla motors Inc. and proved to be highly efficient, safe and durable.
Question: Can I use the Ninebot in the rain?
Answer: Yes. The Ninebot is sealed to allow it to operate in wet weather. However you should ride with caution as wet, slippery surfaces can be hazardous. Also keep in mind that the Ninebot is not designed to withstand being submerged in water. Therefore, you should avoid exposing it to heavy downpours, extended periods of heavy rain, or high pressure water hoses.
Question: Can I get replacement keys if I lose one or both?
Answer: Yes. You will need to ensure that you register your Ninebot with your authorized Ninebot Distributor / Dealer in order to get replacement keys.

Answer: We recommend you contact your insurance company or local agent to find out what type of coverage is available for your Ninebot.
Question: How do I clean my Ninebot?
Answer: You can keep your Ninebot looking squeaky clean with mild soap and water. Please do not use a pressure washer or a high pressure hose and be sure to keep water away from the charging port. In addition, please note that we do not recommend products that protect and shine rubber, plastic and vinyl surfaces (similar to Armor All) as these products may reduce tire traction and increase the risk of a fall.
Question: Where can I find my Ninebots serial number?
Answer: You serial number is printed on a label on the outside of the large shipping carton. It is also printed on a label located at the base of your Ninebot-E.
Question: How do I register my Ninebot?
Answer: If you purchased a Ninebot from us, you can register it by clicking here. We will then handle all or your Warranty repairs and service locally in the U.S..
If you purchased a Ninbot elsewhere you will need to register it with Ninebot Inc. in China.
